Look closely for the bear. This photo was captured at the Khutzeeymateen Provincial Park, also known as Khutzeymateen/K'tzim-A-Deen Grizzly Sanctuary, is a Class A provincial park located in the North Coast region of British Columbia, Canada.

This photograph was created with Nikon ZF camera I converted to infrared which involved removing the cameras's internal hot mirror while replacing it with a filter that only lets infrared light through to the sensor. The camera only sees in IR and there is no reversal options.

This transformation shifts how I see and compose images, revealing hidden textures, surreal tones, and ethereal contrasts.  While seeing in real time through the lens, I think this new way of shooting adds to my creative vision and challenges my perception of scenes that I have been long familiar with. Change and challenge is good for the soul.
