I have witnessed countless moments in the wild, but I will never forget the day I encountered this cheetah standing on a mound in the Serengeti, and behind, the endless plains beneath a storm-laden sky. Just beyond the frame, his injured brother, limping and vulnerable, stayed close behind. The contrast between the sentinel’s strength and his companion’s fragility turned the scene into a story of resilience, brotherhood, and survival.

I chose a dark black and white. The stormy sky adds drama, where power and vulnerability are written like verses in a XIX century poem. To me, the cheetah is a majestic creature but also and unfortunately, one of the most fragile felines in Africa.

I wish to convey the emotion I felt in that moment, the deep respect and to show the world these extraordinary animals, hoping to inspire compassion.
