I truly believe each state in the U.S. has its own vision. October 2015, I decided to take a small trip and visit Badlands National Park, South Dakota. This photograph wasn't taken too early but I was there early. As the sun slowly begin to shine, the colors on the rocks with a touch of grass here and there was amazing. As far as my eyes could see, I saw layers and layers of beauty.

Dawn Hester is a retired professional photographer with the Air National Guard and the FBI (Scientific & Technical). She enjoys different genres of photography, but her heart is documentary photography. She published her 1st book in 2024: If They Could Talk...Everyday life through my eyes with photography.
