I’m fascinated by the sensations of weightlessness and freedom below the surface. I collaborated with ballerina Antonella Martinelli, who shares my passion for water. We played and explored movement, with the water enhancing fluidity and gracefulness. Being immersed in something larger than ourselves is both humbling and exhilarating. This contrast between strength and vulnerability, and the interplay between human form and natural elements, invites viewers to explore the intersection of beauty, symbolism, and the universal experience of seeking solace and renewal in water’s embrace.

Meaghan Ogilvie is based in Toronto Canada and specializes in underwater photography. She has received numerous awards, including a Smithsonian Finalist and Australia’s Cairns Underwater Photography Award. Her passion and advocacy for water became her focus after winning an award to travel to Palau and dive in one of the largest marine protected areas in the world. There, she witnessed the importance of protecting a thriving marine ecosystem.
