Jason Gulley. Hope.
A manatee and her calf laze in seagrasses that were replanted in Florida's Crystal River as part of an ongoing restoration project. While pollution and other environmental stressors are wiping out the seagrasses that manatees and other wildlife depend on for food and shelter around the world, this restoration project provides hope that the problems are fixable.
Jason Gulley is a geology professor and photographer who is passionate about documenting water, climate and environmental subjects. He is an avid caver and technical diving instructor and much of his photography and research are expedition-based. He lives in Tampa, Florida.
