Sara Hylton is an award-winning freelance photographer, storyteller, and educator recognized for her compassionate and intimate approach to human rights and environmental issues. Hylton is a faculty member at the International Center of Photography and holds an MA from Kings College London in International Conflict Studies. Hylton is a National Geographic Explorer and has received multiple grants and fellowships from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Magnum Foundation, the Society of Environmental Journalists, and the International Women’s Media Foundation among others. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
