Vinod Liyanage. A Tranquil Moment.

While visiting Wilpattu National Park in northwestern Sri Lanka with my family, we paused to rest in a quiet spot after a morning of photographing birds and leopards. 

Then I noticed there is a troop of toque macaques moving through the trees above us. I spotted a baby monkey clinging to its mother's belly and waited patiently until they came down to a branch at eye level. Seizing the opportunity, I captured the peaceful moment of the baby monkey sleeping between feeds. 

Vinod Liyanage is a medical doctor and wildlife photographer from Sri Lanka. Fascinated by birds and mammals since childhood, he bought her first DSLR in 2017 and pursued wildlife photography. Since then, he's been honored with numerous local and international awards for his work.
