World-renowned scientist and National Geographic explorer Mireya Mayor will be speaking at Dominican University Performing Arts Center in River Forest, IL on March 6 at 6:00 PM as part of our Student Speaker Series, produced in collaboration with Changemaker Talent. 

Mireya is “the female Indiana Jones.” Starting her career as an NFL cheerleader, she later transitioned into a respected primatologist and daring explorer, driven by her passion for science. From near-death experiences in the Congo to discovering the world's smallest primate in Madagascar, Mireya has done it all.      

Mireya’s inspiring story will show students that yes, you can have it all. You can be a primatologist, TV Host, university executive, National Geographic Explorer, mother, and an NFL cheerleader. Her journey emphasizes the limitless possibilities when passion and determination intersect.
