Marlon del Aguila Guerrero at Xposure 2025
We are thrilled to share that Marlon del Aguila Guerrero, one of the talented photographers mentored through our 2023 Vital Impacts Mentorship Program, has been selected to exhibit his work at the Xposure Festival in the UAE in 2025!
His exhibit, "Flow of Resilience: Currents That Forge the Attitude," will be showcased as part of the Global Focus Project, an initiative seeking to celebrate the diverse perspectives and narratives shared by photographers worldwide.
A Successful Partnership
Marlon’s success at Xposure can be attributed to his incredible talent and hard work as well as the support and guidance of his mentor, Britta Jaschinski.
Britta, an award-winning photographer and co-founder of Photographers Against Wildlife Crime shares, “If it wasn’t for the Vital Impacts Mentorship Program, none of this would have been possible.” With Britta’s expertise, Marlon refined his portfolio to build an impactful narrative that stood out to Xposure.
Through this mentorship, Britta went above and beyond, sharing valuable opportunities with Marlon like bringing him as her guest to the 2023 Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards in London and organizing one-on-one meetings with industry leaders.
But, as Britta stresses, Marlon’s success is truly his own. “I am so proud of Marlon for achieving this. It was only because of his beautiful and honest work that truly resonates with me. Hopefully, he now gets his message out, for his local communities in Peru, to get the attention they deserve.”
Marlon and Britta's collaboration highlights the crucial role of mentorship programs like Vital Impacts in nurturing emerging talent, uplifting local voices, and fostering community. We are so happy to see the positive results of this program and the lasting relationships formed between mentors and mentees. “What an honor it has been to be part of this unique and powerful initiative!” Britta writes.
