Travis Dove. Bioluminescence.

Synchronous fireflies light up a dark forest trail at Grandfather Mountain in Linville, NC. The rare photinus carolinus, a species of firefly in North America which have the ability to flash in unison, were only recently discovered by an entomologist who stayed in the park overnight.
