Lynn Johnson. Van Gogh's Provence.

Sunflower fields drew Van Gogh to Provence in South of France, as he sought colors to match the Japanese prints he admired. 

Lynn Johnson was recently awarded a National Geographic fellowship. She is known for shooting elusive subjects—language, disease, rape, water—and for asking tough questions. Dedicated to exploring the far reaches of the human condition, she spends maybe two months a year at home in Pittsburgh, packing that camera bag over and over.
