Francis De Andrés. The Boss.
The photograph was taken in the Saltee Islands, Ireland. There is a very important gannet colony on these islands. I could see how from the highest rock of the cliff a gannet seemed to dominate the whole colony. It looked like the boss of the colony.
Technically, I took the photograph with a lens to which I had added a personally created filter in order to modify the light input and distort the image, so that it was focused only on the gannet on the rock, leaving the rest of the colony's life out of focus.
Francis was born in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. Graduate in Economics and Master in Business Administration and Management.
After 29 years working in Financial Markets and Wealth Management, in 2021 he decided to turn his personal life around and dedicate himself to his two great passions, family and nature photography. Since then he has been working professionally as a freelance photographer.
