Corey Rich. The Daily Commute.
Climbers, Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson, rely on a network of rigged ropes to move up and down the Dawn Wall of El Capitan in order to access the hardest pitches.
They leave their portaledge camp each afternoon as the sun dips around the corner, and use mechanical ascenders to climb the ropes and go to work on the day's climbing adventure. After spending 19 days on the wall, Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson reached the summit of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park for their historic first free ascent of the Dawn Wall on January 14, 2015.
