Our Impact

We have raised over $2,000,000 through fundraising and the sale of fine art prints and pass these profits onto unique conservation and humanitarian efforts. We have also created an educational speakers series for children and a mentoring and grants program to support the next generation of environmental storytellers.

Nonprofits Supported

We have been able to provide generous grants to Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots program, Big Life Foundation, Great Plains Conservation's Project Ranger, Ol Pejeta Conservancy SeaLegacy and Direct Relief.

Fostering Changemakers

We have created a mentoring program for 50 environmental photographers from around the world and two $20,000 grants to support long-term environmental photography projects, an environmental speaker series for children and a year-long visual storytelling mentorship program for 40 indigenous Kenyan conservationists.

Grants and Mentorships

Inspiring Change

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Vital Impacts Environmental Photography Grants: Musuk Nolte of Mexico and Peru and Tailyr Irvine of the Salish and Kootenai tribes in western Montana.

We have also selected 50 applicants to be a part of a 1-on-1 mentorship program and we have invited every applicant to be a part of our monthly mentorship speaker series.

INITIATIVES
Building Community

Vital Impacts is deeply committed to actively seek ways to foster and support the next generation of photographers and humanitarians. We work not only to illustrate personal stories about individuals who, against all odds, are making profound changes in their communities and the world but also to create opportunities for the individuals making the impacts.

The Last Northern White Rhinos
Remembering Sudan

The short film Remembering Sudan documents the heartbreaking crisis facing the northern white rhinos and keepers like Zacharia Mutai, on Ol Pejeta Conservancy, who sacrifice so much to protect them.

Ticket sales benefit Ol Pejeta Conservancy who care for the last two northern white rhinos on the planet.

Pop Photo

I'm so delighted that our friends at Vital Impacts have launched their latest photo print sales. I was really excited to see that that photo of me looking out at the valley at Gombe was chosen... I love that picture.

Jane Goodall

Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots

There is something for everyone and our hope is that these prints will inspire people to believe in and work toward a better world.

Founder, Vital Impacts

The bigger picture is, what a great way for people to donate to great causes and get something back at the same time. And, the photographers benefit as well. It gives them a chance to use that money to do the next project.

Nick Brandt

Photographer

When it comes to nature photography, few do it better than National Geographic photographers. Now you can buy a print of some of their photographs — and it's for a good cause.
