After nearly a decade of exploring the Great Bear Rainforest, Jack Plant has had an abundance of wildlife experiences that he begun to document in 2016, after he picked up a camera for the first time. Since 2015, Jack has lived and worked in the remote First Nation's community of the Kitasoo/Xai’xais (Klemtu, BC). This is where he gathered knowledge of the rainforest and the skills necessary navigate its ecosystems, and to be around its wildlife - passed down from the wise elders and chiefs. Jack has many stories to tell, these are best told in the form of his imagery and fine art photography.

A career in tourism with Spirit Bear Lodge as the Operations Manager has led to a path of conservation. Partnering with non-profits such as SeaLegacy, Pacific Wild and the Spirit Bear Foundation, and working along side National Geographic’s Paul Nicklen and Cristina Mittermeier, legendary bear biologist Wayne McCrory and the Great Bear Rainforest's IMAX director, Ian McCallister.
